What is this resource?
Hope Network’s Workforce Development program is a comprehensive service designed to help individuals facing barriers to employment and advance their careers. It operates under the broader mission of Hope Network, a Christian organization.
This program offers personalized support to job seekers, including those who are unemployed or underemployed, have a history of incarceration, are veterans, refugees, or individuals with disabilities. The program focuses on creating individualized action plans that address each person’s unique needs, skills, work history, and employment goals. Through a network of experienced Career Development Specialists, participants receive assistance with employment readiness, career assessments, job search strategies, resume and application building, and interview skills through workshops and one-on-one guidance.
Furthermore, Hope Network’s Workforce Development connects individuals with potential employers and provides ongoing employment support to ensure job retention. This includes job coaching, referrals to community resources, and assistance with essential needs such as transportation, interview attire, and work-related tools or clothing. The program also facilitates paid Transitional Work Experiences- offering short-term job placements that provide income, recent work history, and opportunities for employers to assess potential permanent hires.
