What is this resource?

The Community Employment Program at The Arc of Macomb County is dedicated to empowering individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to find employment within their local community. The program provides person-centered support and services tailored to each individual’s unique skills, interests, and vocational goals. The Arc of Macomb County works closely with Michigan Rehabilitation Services (MRS) and local businesses to help participants with skill-building activities, job readiness training, and individualized job placement assistance.

Beyond the initial job placement, the program provides ongoing support including job coaching and retention services. This sustained assistance helps individuals maintain their employment, navigate workplace dynamics, and advance in their roles as independently as possible.

The Arc of Macomb County Community Employment Program’s mission is to promote community inclusion and ensuring that people with intellectual and developmental disabilities are valued members of the workforce.
