How do I get started with this resource?

  1. Visit the Website
  2. Explore Available Services
    • Click on the “Services” tab to view job-related resources, including job placement, career training, and employer support.
  3. Register for Work
    • Scroll to the bottom of the page and click “Need to register for work?”
    • This will show links to 16 local Michigan Works! offices that provide job search assistance and training.
  4. Select a Local Office
    • Choose the location closest to you.
    • If in Detroit, select “Detroit Employment Solutions Corporation” (DESC) to access specialized services.
  5. Explore DESC & Detroit at Work
    • Click on the DESC logo to visit their website.
    • Navigate to the “Job Seekers – Detroit at Work” section.
  6. Access Job Resources
    • Browse job listings, career guides, job fairs, and training programs.
    • Use available tools to improve your skills and connect with potential employers.
