What is this resource?

Community Housing Network (CHN) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing comprehensive housing solutions for individuals and families experiencing homelessness, housing instability, or barriers due to disability or low income in Southeast Michigan. CHN offers a wide range of services, including street outreach to connect those experiencing homelessness with resources, rapid rehousing and homeless prevention programs, permanent supportive housing for people with disabilities, and assistance with security deposits, rent, and utilities. The organization also manages and develops affordable housing communities, having created nearly 900 affordable units.

In addition to direct housing support, CHN operates a Housing Resource Center that connects individuals to important housing programs and services. The organization provides homebuyer with financial education, rental education, and specialized services for people with disabilities, such as roommate matching and pooled trust accounts
