The SEDW provides intensive, community-based mental health services for children with serious emotional disturbances who are at risk of psychiatric hospitalization. Core services include wraparound care coordination, respite care, therapeutic foster care, in-home skill building, family support and training, therapeutic activities, and community transition services. These supports help children remain safely at home while receiving individualized care tailored to their emotional and behavioral needs.

What is this resource?

SEDW helps children remain at home and in their community by offering services that go beyond regular Medicaid, including: Wraparound care coordination, therapeutic foster care, respite services, in-home skill building, family support and training, and therapeutic activities and camps
